The meaning of synod is “walking together.” In the Synodal Church we walk together in mission with Jesus Christ. The Gospel metaphor of “make your home in me, as I make my home in you” is a beautiful description of our relationship with Jesus Christ. A Ganda, Uganda proverb says relationship is in the eating together that can be the starting point for a rich eucharistic theology. In Holy Communion in receiving the body and blood of Jesus Christ we deepen our relation with the most important person in our lives Jesus Christ. And we deepen the relationship with each other in the Eucharistic Community.
